More Than Just Monthly Rides
R4BL is building a movement. In July 2020 we lead the first Ride for Black Lives as a way to show solidarity in the wake of the murder of George Floyd and of Breonna Taylor, and many more. As much as we love bikes, we want to do more. Our rides always include direct action to support the community and we are currently building out anti-racism programming. Our monthly rides will continue, but we want everyone to take away more than just a fun ride.

R4BL X: Presenting the Coalition for Black Lives
We're back and we're expanding beyond just our Ride! For our opening ride of 2022 we will be telling you about our expansion into a Coalition that includes anti-racism training and more direct action in Boston!

The Mission
The Ride for Black Lives is a bike ride in solidarity with the fight against systems and acts of oppression, police brutality, and murder of Black people. Founded by Black community organizers and allies last year in the wake of the killing of George Floyd, Ride for Black Lives Boston rallied nearly 1,000 people for monthly bike rides to shine a spotlight on racism and hostility toward Black people — including in the bike space itself — while uniting white and non-white cyclists in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
